One of Bath’s top chefs is among the first buyers of the new homes built in Corsham by Cotswold Homes.

Michael Nizzero (35) – executive chef in The Bath Priory’s award-winning Three AA Rosette restaurant – recently moved into a four-bedroom detached home with his wife Jackie (36) and daughter Alessia (3).

‘Michael’s praise for the style and layout of the kitchen in his new home, with its fully-integrated Smeg appliances – stainless steel double oven, hob with a feature hood, fridge-freezer, washer-drier and integrated dishwasher – is a valuable endorsement for Cotswold Homes,’ says the firm’s head of sales and marketing, Terri Hayes-Pugh.

‘It’s a real treat to sell a property to a former premier sous chef at The Ritz in London who has 15 years of experience working across Europe, in Dubai and the UK.’

Prior to the The Ritz – which achieved a Michelin star for the first time in its history while Michael was there – he worked in France where he was awarded a Michelin star for four consecutive years. Before that he was the first sous chef at the three Michelin starred Waterside Inn in Bray, Berkshire where he worked for four years under Michel and Alain Roux.

When Michael and Jackie moved to Bath they rented a property while house-hunting in the city, but soon decided that they would prefer a rural location to bring up their daughter.

‘We looked at several new developments in the area but the visual appeal of the homes at Corsham Rise was immediate,’ says Jackie. ‘We were attracted by the traditional styling and walls the colour of Cotswold stone.’

Buying off-plan meant that the couple were able to personalise their new home by choosing from a variety of finishes for their kitchen as well as tiling, flooring and the colour of their carpets.
