A local primary school is sporting new games kit this term, thanks to support from Cotswold Homes.

More than 135 pupils at Parkwall Primary School in Cadbury Heath competed in a design competition to come up with the new-look shirts.

The winning design was conceived by 10-year-old pupil Lily Chick and Cotswold Homes paid for production of 15 shirts.

The housebuilder’s head of sales and marketing, Terri Hayes-Pugh, formally handed-over the new kit, telling pupils and staff that her firm’s policy is to do much more than just build and sell new homes.

‘We like to make valuable and practical contributions to the lives of people living locally,’ she said.

Terri also spoke of the success of Cotswold Homes’ Charlotte Mews development close to the school in Heath Rise.

‘All but two of the 16 new homes have been sold to buyers attracted by the fact that these are modern, energy-efficient homes requiring only low maintenance,’ said Terri.

‘They also valued our no hidden extras policy whereby the purchase price includes the big five fully-integrated Smeg appliances – oven, hob, fridge/freezer, washer/drier and dishwasher.’

Semi-pedestal basins to maximise floor space in bathrooms, ample built-in wardrobes in some bedrooms and stylish fixtures and fittings also come as standard.

Cotswold Homes’ popular ‘trademark’ open-plan family hub incorporating a dining room and kitchen with French windows opening into to the turfed-and-fenced garden is among other highlights.

Says Terri: ‘Many of the properties were snapped up by local people ranging from young families to empty-nesters keen to stay in the area they have come to regard as home.
