A donation of £5,000 to Children in Need marks a high point at the end of a year of charity fundraising events by local housebuilder Cotswold Homes.

The Yate-based company, currently building new homes in Chipping Sodbury, Tytherington, Mangotsfield and Rangeworthy, has a policy of ‘putting something back’ into the communities which provide its business.

‘We decided to support Children in Need with a significant donation,’ said Terri Hayes-Pugh, the firm’s sales and marketing director. ‘After all, who could be more important right now than the next generation and those who follow in our footsteps in the years ahead?’

In the past year Cotswold Homes also has organised a number of fundraising events and sponsorships to support charities which include Jessie May, the Bristol-based children’s hospice at home service, Macmillan Cancer Support and Thornbury-based Brain Tumour Support.
