Pooh and Piglet add to the appeal of Corsham's showhomes
Winnie-the-Pooh fans of all ages are expected to find the child’s bedroom in one of Cotswold Homes’ latest showhomes in Wiltshire irresistible.
E.H. Shepard’s illustrations of A.A. Milne’s characters – Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore and others – feature widely in one of two showhomes alongside the marketing suite at Corsham Rise in the town’s Potley Lane.
One of the two four-bedroom homes – the Burford – is the fastest-selling on the firm’s most recent developments designed to meet the needs of young families. It is presented as a showhome for the first time at Corsham Rise.
In the centre of the double-fronted Burford a spacious entrance hall links the lounge – which has French windows opening on to a patio and lawned garden – with an open-plan kitchen-dining room. The latter is big enough to feature double-glazed windows at both the front and back of the house where an adjacent utility room provides access to the garden.
Just inside the front door a study planned to suit those who work at home could instead be used as a playroom by a family with small children. Ample under-stairs storage means that toys can be tidied away. The adjacent loo has plenty of space as well.
Upstairs the four bedrooms – each big enough for a double bed – include a master-suite with its own en-suite as well as built-in wardrobes and cupboards.
The second showhome – the four-bedroom Dyrham which features the Pooh Bear bedroom – offers larger comparable accommodation within a different layout. Notable is the way in which the kitchen-dining-family suite and utility room together occupy a huge L-shaped area spanning both the length and width of the house.
Prices of the new homes start at £315,000. For more details or an appointment to view the showhomes contact agents Andrews, 01179 461799 or Strakers, 01249 652717.
