Pride in the Job Awards

For the sixth consecutive year a Cotswold Homes employee has won one of the Pride in the Job Awards presented annually by the National House-Building Council (NHBC) to site managers whose work achieves the highest standards.

Dave Beckey (53), whose home is in Warmley, won this year's award in recognition of his work leading the construction team on our Charlotte Mews development at Cadbury Heath.

In the past five years Dave, who can draw on more than 30 years of experience in the building industry, has won the awards for his work on our earlier developments in Downend, Mangotsfield, Cam, Knowle and Staple Hill.

'Winning six awards in consecutive years is a huge achievement for a company like ours and for Dave himself,' says Terri Hayes-Pugh, the firm's head of sales and marketing. 'Because every scheme is unique, we have to start from scratch with each one and that demands a lot of extra care at the construction stage.'

Today's news brings to nine the number of Pride in the Job Awards won by Cotswold Homes' site managers in recent years.

The first was presented to Shaun Kington in respect of his work on the firm's Greenacres site in Shepton Mallet. Phil Loader won the award for his achievements at The Dell in the Stoke Bishop area of Bristol and Mark Holden's work at The Grange in Burton, Wiltshire earned him an award.

Commenting on his site managers' successes, Cotswold Homes' head of construction, Guy Edge, said: 'I am very proud to have a strong team consistently recognised by the NHBC for producing high quality homes. To have earned nine awards within six years shows we are maintaining our exemplary high standards and continuing to provide our customers in the South West with outstanding homes built on quality and consistency.'
