The home which played a key role in persuading house-hunters to buy those built in Corsham by Cotswold Homes is itself for sale.

The four-bedroom showhome is one of the last available properties at Corsham Rise in the Wiltshire town which, thanks to one of the couples who made their home there, is already a vibrant community.

First time buyers Tammy Hassel (36) and her husband Bernd (36) posted party invitations through the letterboxes of the occupied properties and more than 40 people turned up.

Reports Tammy: ‘Everyone got to know each other and we now have a close-knit community on our doorstep, with people helping each other with tasks like dog-walking, grass-cutting and putting out refuse for collection when neighbours are away.’
