For the fifth consecutive year a Cotswold Homes employee has won one of the Pride in the Job Awards presented annually by the National House-Building Council (NHBC) to site managers whose work achieves the highest standards.

Dave Beckey (52) whose home is in Warmley, won this year's award in recognition of his work leading the construction team on the firm's Badminton Chase development in Downend.

Dave, who can draw on more than 30 years of experience in the building industry, believes that winning the award represents a greater challenge for Cotswold Homes' site managers whose developments tend to be smaller than most and designed in a style appropriate to their location.

'It's a massive achievement for a company like ours,' he said. 'All of our developments are unique and we have to start from scratch with each new scheme. That takes a lot of extra care.'

A second Cotswold Homes site Manager who has won his first Price in the Job Award this year is Mark Holden (41).

Mark, who has 23 years of building industry experience, lives in the Brislington area of Bristol.

His award reflects the quality of construction on a small rural development built by Cotswold Homes at The Grange in Burton, a picturesque hamlet between the market towns of Chippenham and Chipping Sodbury.

Commenting on his site managers' successes, a thrilled Cotswold Homes' head of construction, Guy Edge, said: 'Our huge achievement - winning for five years on the trot to accumulate a total of eight Pride in the Job Awards - has drawn praise from industry rivals and buyers now living in a new home on an award-winning development.'

'These trophies represent independent recognition and endorsement of the high standards we maintain consistently through all aspects of our business, including building design, construction, finishes and customer service.'
