About to open for viewing in South Gloucestershire are fully-furnished showhomes on two developments by local housebuilder Cotswold Homes Ltd.

The Yate-based firm is about to take the wraps off newly-completed four-bedroom detached homes on its Florence Gardens development in a leafy enclave off Trinity Lane in Chipping Sodbury and The Paddocks in the centre of the village of Tytherington.

The Chipping Sodbury showhome, a Burford house-type, is a spacious property featuring a hallway leading to a kitchen/dining suite with a separate utility room.

The dual-aspect lounge has French doors opening on to the garden and a further ground floor room might be used as a study or playroom. Upstairs are four bedrooms, including a master bedroom with wardrobes and an ensuite, and a family bathroom.

The Tytherington showhome, a Fulbrook house and the first of its type designed and built by Cotswold Homes, also will be available to buy at Florence Gardens.

The Fulbrook’s spacious kitchen breakfast suite, and the lounge accessed by double doors, both have French doors giving access to the garden for alfresco living.

Locally-based interior design specialists Jane Clayton & Company are putting the finishing touches to the showhomes before they open for viewing in the autumn.

Plans for the next phase are due to be unveiled soon.

‘Interest in our Florence Gardens development also has been intense since we unveiled our plans earlier this year,’ reports Terri. ‘All the homes in the first phase have been sold and the waiting list of would-be buyers of those in the second phase is growing rapidly.’

The semi-rural development is attracting a mix of young families and retired couples, some of whom like the proximity to the nearby golf, football, cricket and tennis facilities as well as rural walks on Sodbury Common.
